License Assignment

Overview

License Assignment helps administrators assign managed package licenses to eligible Salesforce users. It is available in the Installation Assistant and can also be used later for ongoing license management.

Accessing License Assignment

1. Open the bowbridge app.
2. Go to Settings and General.
3. Go to the License Assignment section.

Assignment Options

Assign Licenses

Assigns the managed package license to eligible active standard users in the selected profiles. Users who already have the license are skipped.

Remove Licenses

Removes the managed package license from users in the selected profiles. Use this when access should be reduced or when licenses must be freed for another group.

Automatic License Assignment

When enabled, new and reactivated active standard users receive the managed package license automatically.

Profile Selection

Bulk assignment works by Salesforce profile. Select one or more profiles in the confirmation dialog, then confirm the action.

The assignment process skips users that are not eligible, inactive users, and users that already match the requested state.
